Based on a student's Covid status then Google Classroom will be made available

PLEASE FILL-OUT THE LUNCH SCHOOL FORMS FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR. IT IS MANDATORY FOR FAMILIES TO FILL THIS OUT. IT HELPS SCHOOL WITH FUNDING AND FAMILIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO FILL THE FORM ONLINE FOR QUICKER AND EASIER PROCESSING.

WHAT IS A GOOGLE CLASSROOM?

This is where each teacher will post daily work for students. Check out this video for a quick Google Classroom tutori

  • Students will need their @afyw.org email addresses to access instruction.

 

WHAT DOES REMOTE LEARNING LOOK LIKE?

  • All teachers have virtual classrooms set up through Google Classroom. They are posting learning experiences for students every day and scheduling video conferences, small group instruction, and other opportunities to connect with our scholars. You can go to the Student's Remote Learning Page to see more information about this.
  • When NYC Department of Education (DOE) Regional Enrichment Center (REC) staff need assistance to respond to a student’s behavioral crisis, the REC may request a referral to the Children’s Mobile Crisis Team (CMCT) serving their borough by calling NYC Well at 888-NYC- WELL (888-692-9355).
